The Cape Panwa area is one of the few last unspoiled and remaining part of Phuket that is both stunning in location and views and largely remains as Phuket was some 25 years ago yet is only minutes from Phuket City, Chalong, Rawai and the major shopping centres, hospitals and markets of Phuket Island.
Cape Panwa itself is a finger of land which comes out of the island just south of Phuket Town on Phuket’s east coast. The peninsula is approximately six kilometers long and two kilometers wide and is quite hilly therefore affording superb views to the south west over Chalong Bay to Rawai and the southern islands and from the other side to the North East over Phang Nga Bay and as far as Phi Phi Islands. A drive around the peninsula is a wonderful way of exploring and the good news is it will change very little in the future as most of the land, particularly on the west side of the Cape has no title and therefore cannot be built on.
